The principle of jig concentrator generally is layered according to the proportion or density of mineral, and then the light and heavy minerals are discharged respectively. The working process of jig concentrator can be concluded on the basis of the production practice experiences.

Ore particles in jig concentrator are layered according to the proportion. The jigger can not only sorting the narrow level of the ore particles but also can separate the wide ones.

In the jigging process, the higher the proportion of medium and the greater the proportion difference between ore particles, the higher separation efficiency of the jigger.

Maintain the bed cracking relatively loose is the prerequisite of the layering. If the loose degree of the bed cracking is insufficient, the mineral particles are difficult to transfer, thus losing the possibility of the layered. Therefore try to prolong the process of jigging bed in a loose state, in order to improve the handling capacity of the jigger and improve the separation efficiency.

Rising water should have a larger positive acceleration and smaller negative acceleration; Drop water should have smaller positive acceleration and larger negative acceleration.

Suction effects of the falling water can improve the jig effects of narrow level and the ungraded ore particles, but the strength and duration of the suction effects should be selected according to the properties of the raw materials.

Increasing the frequency of water flow movements when jigging fine grained minerals can improve the separation efficiency.
Adding some high proportion of fine mineral particles can improve jigging ore grading effect. But the jig concentrator must be readjusted to strengthen the suction effect.
