Generally speaking, the most commonly used gold concentrator is gravity separator. And the gold concentrator-jig separator is the first choice for gold concentration.
There are placer gold and rock gold of the gold ore. The former density is over 16t/m³ and this leads to a big density difference between gold and the impurities, so gravity separation can be the most efficient, most economical way to beneficiate alluvial gold. For alluvial gold gravity extraction, there are a certain percentage of gravels, and a rotary screen or vibration screen will be needed to remove these gravels. Gold in placer gold is usually liberated from impurities, and the fine sand can be fed to the gold concentrator for concentration directly.

With the development and research of gravity separation plants, chutes, jig separators, table concentrators and gold centrifugal separators have ever turned up, and jig concentrators prove to be an ideal gold concentrator for the first rough separation to gain high grade gold concentrate with its high recovery rate while centrifugal separators and table concentrators work as secondary further gold concentrator.  Also for rock gold ore dressing, most needs floatation separation to extract. And only quartz gold of coarse gold granules carried by pyrite can be enriched by jig machine. This kind of quartz gold separation is usually bounded to work together with rod milling and classifying as a whole beneficiation process. So the general processing flow sheet can be crushing--rod milling--jigging separation--centrifugal separation or amalgamation.
