Coarse-Grained Garnet Beneficiation Method

There are placer and rock garnet, and the main beneficiation method can be high intensity magnetic separation and gravity separation. Most of the garnet can be separated by gravity separation because of its large specific gravity. And some are weakly magnetic garnet, therefore the high intensity magnetic separation can be also considered an available beneficiation method, however high intensity magnetic separation only applies to the beneficiation of fine-grained (0-5mm) garnet mine. Then how to process the coarse grained disseminated garnet ore?

First of all, let's take a look a coarse grained garnet ore. The size of garnet particle disseminated on the gangue is between 10mm and 30mm, it has a common color and a clear crystal structure, and there are clear boundaries between garnet and the gangue. It can be easily to get them separated by crushing and screening process.

For this type of garnet mineral, Forui Machinery suggest customers the sorting crushing and segmented recycling beneficiation process.
1. Coarse crushing and medium crushing;
2. Sieving/screen to separate the garnet particles into 2 levels (6-30mm and 0-6mm);
3. Gravity separation of 6-30mm garnet ore by large particles jig machine; gravity separation of 0-6mm garnet particles by trapezoidal jig concentrator;
4. Dewatering of the unseparated particles in the tailings discharged by large particles jig machine, crush again, and then separate again in the trapezoid jig concentrator, in order to improve the recovery rate of garnet ore beneficiation.
