Titanium Ore Flotation Method

Ilmenite, zircon and rutile is often associated, density is between 4 - 4.7g/cm3, use gravity separation, they also enter into the heavy sand. Their flotability are also similar, using emulsified oleic acid flotation, they also entered in the mixed concentrate. They have two kinds of method for separating mixed concentrate:
1. First with magnetic separation separation of ilmenite (magnetic separation can also be placed on the flotation after the nonmagnetic part), with sodium fluosilicate inhibition of zircon, emulsified oleic acid flotation in the pH=3.8 - 4.6 medium rutile.
2. Inhibition of rutile with sulfuric acid, flotation zircon using emulsified oleic acid or cationic collector.
