In fact, the beneficiation of pure pyrite ore is quite simple and the commonly used beneficiation mothod for pyrite beneficiation is gravity separation, carried out by jig machine, shaker and other mining machinery. It is the best pyrite beneficiation method with the advantages of high efficiency, high acceptability, energy-saving and pollution-free. However, it is not so simple for the recovery of pyrite from the tailings, especially from the flotation tailings, since the flotation ore is usually ground to 80-200 mesh, so that it's very difficult to recover sulfur from the tailings of this fineness. Pyrite particle size is generally coarse distributed in the ore, by crushing or coarse crushing we can make the pyrite and gangue monomer dissociation, so most of the sulfur in flotation tailings has already in monomer dissociation, just because the fine-grained tailings are difficult to recycle. Although shakers can recover the fine grade materials, they have limited processing capacity,  so only using the shaker is completely impossible. The jig machine is the most common pyrite mineral processing equipment with good effect on coarse and medium grain pyrite recovery, but for the recovery of fine particles of pyrite, the jigging machine is not that good, but it has big processing capacity, can be used as pre-enrichment equipment, then the crude concentrate is purified by shaking. The combination of jigging and shaking will ensure recovery rate with big processing capacity to get a good dressing effect.
